Sony (NYSE: SNE) on Thursday introduced its lightest notebook to date and unveiled a touch-enabled, all-in-one desktop that’s built as an entertainment hub with PC, high-definition TV, and digital video recorder in one unit.
The Vaio L Touch HD PC/TV and Vaio X Series laptop run Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT)‘s Windows 7, which is scheduled for release Oct. 22. Both Sony systems will have a starting price of $1,300 and are expected to be available starting next month.

Sony Unveils M Series Netbook
Sony has embraced the netbook segment by releasing a £300 model as part of the M-series in the VAIO range, one which had leaked out a couple of weeks ago. The device comes with a 10.1-inch LED backlit display (1024×600), 1GB RAM and a 250GB hard disk drive while powered by an Intel Atom N450 Pineview processor clocked at 1.66Ghz.
