The ultra-thin LG X300 netbook from LG will be released in markets other than North America later in March, the electronics giant announced this weekend. First will be Asia, followed by the Middle East and South America. The flagship notebook has an 11.6-inch LCD screen, is 0.7 inches thick and weighs about 2.1lbs.

Sony Unveils M Series Netbook
Sony has embraced the netbook segment by releasing a £300 model as part of the M-series in the VAIO range, one which had leaked out a couple of weeks ago. The device comes with a 10.1-inch LED backlit display (1024×600), 1GB RAM and a 250GB hard disk drive while powered by an Intel Atom N450 Pineview processor clocked at 1.66Ghz.

LG X120 netbook: Now Available in the US
LG Electronics is entering the U.S. netbook market and it is teaming with AT&T to offer customers a subsidized mini-laptop that has integrated 3G access. The LG X120 has relatively standard specifications for a device of its class including a 10.1-inch screen, 1 GB of RAM, 160-GB hard drive, high-definition stereo speakers, Wi-Fi, and a 3G modem to access AT&T’s 3G network on the go. The netbook is powered by Windows XP, and it also comes with a SmartOn interface that gives users one-click access to specified applications.
Asus offers specs for Eee 1201N netbook
NVIDIA and Asus announced yesterday that several computers in the Eee line would be getting Ion graphics. Today Asus has offered up the full specifications of the Eee 1201N netbook that was one of the machines mentioned yesterday with the Ion announcement.
ThinkPad netbook to ship in January?
Lenovo’s rumored ThinkPad netbook will launch at the start of the next year, a leak today says. It’s now purportedly named the ThinkPad X100e and may ship on January 5th, just ahead of CES. System specs are only guessed at but may not necessarily cling to the Atoms found in the IdeaPads; instead, it’s speculated that Lenovo may use either Intel’s CULV processors or an AMD Athlon Neo.
