Greystripe supports Ovi Store, migrates 1,200 ad-supported Java games from its own GameJump
Mobile advertising firm Greystripe has announced plans to support in-app ads on Nokia’s Ovi Store – its third smartphone platform after iPhone and Android. The company says it’s starting to migrate 1,200 ad-supported Java games from its own GameJump service to Ovi Store, and will also make its ad units available for use in Symbian games released through Nokia’s service.

Nokia, which recently launched a new, free version of its Ovi Maps application, may also open up the app to outside developers via a more robust API than the one currently available, according to Dr. Tero Ojanperä, the company’s EVP of services. The company, which offers a basic version of the Ovi Maps application programming interface (API), is looking to extend its capabilities even further.
